THE GIFT OF ACCEPTANCE:
Why Christmas Is the Best Time to Embrace LGBT Loved Ones

PASKO.
At para sa LGBT loved ones natin, this gift is priceless.
Acceptance doesn’t require money, grand gestures, or fancy wrapping. Minsan, simple lang. Isang simpleng hug, a genuine “I love you,” or even just allowing someone to be themselves without judgment. Sa panahon ng Pasko, when families gather and love is supposed to overflow, napakahalaga na iparamdam natin sa LGBT members of the family na welcome sila, hindi out of tolerance, but out of real love.
Marami sa kanila ang dumaan sa taon ng pag-iwas, pangamba, o pag-asa na sana one day, their families would truly see them. Pero Christmas has a way of softening hearts, of opening doors that have long been closed, and of reminding us na kahit iba-iba tayo ng kwento, iisa pa rin ang pangangailangan natin: to feel loved without conditions.
Ang pagtanggap ay healing. It gives peace. It lets someone breathe freely for the first time. Imagine how powerful it is when a parent says, “Anak, mahal kita, kahit ano pa ang SOGIESC mo.” Or when a friend says, “Safe ka sa amin. Wala kang kailangang itago.”
This Christmas, open your home, open your mind, and open your heart.
Let this season be the moment someone finally feels seen.
Let it be the Christmas when someone finally feels free.
And let it be the year when love becomes louder than fear, and acceptance becomes the most beautiful gift you’ve ever given.
Because at the end of the day, Pasko is about love, hindi kung sino dapat mahalin, kundi paano tayo magmahal.
Merry Christmas, and may your heart always choose acceptance.
